Script Information

Servants of the Muse is a one act 3 person play set primarily in the office of museum director Martin Laramie. The play tells the budding love story of Rivera and Enya. Enya, who works at the museum, meets Rivera, a visitor to the museum, at the beginning of the play. The two instantly notice an intellectual attraction. However, we soon discover that Director Laramie also has an attraction to Enya, one which he may not be willing to give up so easily.

This love triangle is further confounded by the fact that a painting by Eugene Louis Gabriel Isabey, The Wreck, has just been stolen from the museum.

Will the painting be found? Will the course of true love run smooth? Will Martin Laramie get his wish and win Enya's heart?

Servants of the Muse has not yet been produced on stage, but is being submitted as part of the Louise Heck-Rabi One Act Play Festival in the fall of 2015.
